In 7th grade, Gary Crompton promised himself 2 things: he would grow up to become a chef and swore he would never wear a tie. (No offense to any tie-wearing folk out there) His passion for food carried him into a 12-year career as a chef and eventually as President of Business Dining within ARAMARK’s Business & Industry Group. He is responsible for the operational and financial performance of on-site food operations in more than 1,400 client locations throughout the United States, Puerto Rico, and Canada.
Across the industry, Gary has seen first-hand that there has been something missing when it comes to food service. In short, workplace dining is typically just transactional, meaning you come down for lunch, get your food, pay, eat and leave. Servers have lost pride in their work and customers aren’t leaving with any more energy than they came in with. LifeWorks is a response to this and was created to raise the standard and fill the industry hole that many have come to expect as status quo. Gary leads a team of premier culinarians and enthusiastic “inspired service providers” to deliver TRANSFORMATIONAL custom on-site restaurant solutions.
